Meet Leon; Winged Trainer of Norren

Basic Information

Leonidas M. Venitus, was named after the late 2nd King of Norren and the son to the first, King Baldur. He is a prospective young trainer who uses his talents in both Pokémon battling and Soul-Bonding to display skills not previously thought possible by those looking into the Soul-Bonding Phenomenon. Though he comes off with an overconfident arrogance to those he sees as competitors, Leon is an overall laxed individual, opting to use his honed power over flight to fly about the region keeping both people and Pokémon safe when needed. If he had it his way, he'd be in his home off in the Ogden Welds on a daily basis, smoking Oddish leaves and rehabilitating Pokémon misused by others, a life of peace, joy and calm. A life put on hold until he holds the title of Champion of Norren. . .A title that proves he has the power to stop any threat that attacks his Region.

Gym Challenge Information

Throughout the Norren Region, Pokémon battles are treated much like the other sports that are aired here on televised and livestreamed events. Because of this, Leonidas has become incredibly popular in the eyes of the people, the league and the with corporations looking to sponsor young trainers. While Leon doesn't do much in that department, what little he does do is usually things involving his devilishly good looks or charity events. Though it doesn't pertain particularly to battling, Leonidas has been voted the hottest trainer in Norren three years running now. A Region wide poll given by celebrity tabloids that Leon plays up big to the crowds that come to spectate him in battle. Coupling with the fact he has yet to lose a single battle in his league debut, Leonidas has proven he isn't all looks and has serious power in his smaller frame.

Statistical Information

As Trainers in the Norren League partake in their challenge, their physical and mental prowess are taken into consideration by numerous medical and sports professionals. In doing so, they're capable of producing records of each trainer, showing how they have progressed over the years. An update is made with each victory over a Norrenian Gym Leader, or at least this is the case for the winged trainer. Previous records indicate that Leon's infamous speed isn't something had naturally appeared, only becoming visible in his battle with the third Gym Leader of the Region. While Leon may not hit the hardest or be the smartest, he has an uncanny memory and has never been caught in the same attack twice in his entire career. Coupling this memory is his mastery over Flying-Type Infinite Energy, making Leon an extreme threat in the skies.

Within the categories of the statistics tracked, lie sub-categories that can factor things like one's potential in Soul-Bonding, which gauges one's potential ceiling for the strength they can acquire before their body breaks apart completely. Or Luck, which judges a trainer's ability to land Critical Hits on their opponents in battle. Leon's power ceiling has still yet to reach its limit, as he as proven time and time again, that no matter how hard he is hit, he just won't fall from his feet.

Talonflame 『𐌔𐌁』

Talonflame mainly preys upon other bird Pokémon. To intimidate opponents, it sends embers spewing from gaps between its feathers. Talonflame dives toward prey at speeds of up to 310mph and assaults them with powerful kicks, giving the prey no chance to escape. It has top notch flying capabilities of any bird of prey Pokémon.

Aggressive and Cruel, this Pokémon ruthlessly torments enemies that are helpless in the dark. Flying through the darkness, it weakens enemies with ultrasonic waves that could crush stone. Its fangs finish the fight.

Gliscor

It flies soundlessly through the sky. It catches its prey with its long tail, then lunges at the prey's vulnerable spots with its fangs. If it succeeds in catching even a faint breeze properly, it can circle the globe without flapping its wings a single time.

Blaziken

Blaziken has incredibly strong legs, it can easily clear a 30-story building in a single leap. This Pokémon's blazing punches leave its foes scorched and blackened. When facing a tough foe, it loosens flames from its wrists.

Palafin

This Pokémon changes its appearance if it hears its allies calling out for help. Palafin will never show anybody its moment of transformation. Its physical capabilities are no different than a Finizen's, but when its alliws are in danger, it transforms and powers itself up.

Sylveon

Sylveon cuts an elegant figure as it dances lightly around, feelers fluttering, but its piercing moves aim directly for its opponents' weak spots. It uses its ribbonlike appendages to send soothing aura into its opponents, erasing their hositility.

Toxtricity

Toxtricity, a punk-category Pokémon that can emit electricity and toxic sweat while strumming the protrusions on its chest to launch jolts of electricity that can exceed 15,000 volts. It can also generate a guitar-like melody and contaminate the Earth with its toxic sweat if its own poison gets into its brain. Toxtricity can store more electricity than a thundercloud.

Grafaiai

Each Grafaiai paints its own individual pattern and will paint that same pattern over and over again throughout its life. The color of the poisonous saliva is dependent on the berries eaten by the Pokémon. Grafaiai covers its fingers in its saliva to draw its patterns on trees in the forest.

Staraptor

It never stops attacking, even if it is injured. It fusses over the shape of its comb should it come undone in its scuffles. When Staravia evolve into Staraptor, they leave the flock to live alone. Staraptor have been seen smashing their wings into boulders to strengthen them into the sturdy appendages we all know.

Dedenne

Dedenne emit electrical waves from the whiskers on their cheeks to communicate with each other. When low on electricity, they curl up and sleep in a hibernated state. It's small and its electricity-generating organ is not fully developed, so it uses its long tail to absorb electricity from people's homes and charge itself.

Monferno

A bigger fire on its tail and a brighter blue pattern on its face means it holds a higher rank in its troop. It skillfully controls the intensity of the flames burning on its tail to keep larger foes at an ideal distance.

Torterra

Torterra is so large, sometimes Pokémon are actually born on their back and can spend their entire lives their! Ancient peoples from around the world once believed the world to be dwelling on the back of a gigantic Torterra.

Starmie

Starmie is known for swimming quickly through the ocean by rotating its body, absorbing plankton as it goes. It also has a core organ that glows in seven colors when using its Psychic-Type powers. This core is also known as the Gem of the Sea and can be made into expensive accessories that are traded in secret.

Kingdra

This Pokémon is said to sleep at the deepest depths of the oceans, bested only by Lugia itself, living in areas other life-forms are unable to descend to, building its draconic energy. As it wakes and comes to the surface to hunt, its energy is unleashed in powerful tornadoes that morph the very waves it lives in.

Dragapult [ѕнα∂σωє∂ нєαят]

Dragapult can make its entire body completely transparent, clearing its mind to do so even mid-battle, even the Dreepy found in its horns are turned completely invisible. The fastest Dragapult of the group is typically surrounded by Dreepy that want to fly at sonic levels of speed.
